We have a dog, a cat, 15 chicken's, 4 love birds, 4 gold fish (that Steven think have had some babies).
When I was growing up, I always wished we had more pets but all we had was a dog.
I would love to have a guinea pig and rabbit too but I am a bit frightened the dog or cat would try to kill them.
When I was growing up, we had one cat. For some reason, my mom and dad didn't feel I was responsible enough to take care of an animal. Instead of them teaching me how to care for animals, they told me I wasn't allowed to have any. Maybe this is the reason why I allow dd to have so many pets. She is very responsible, caring for them as though they are her children.
Our dog and cats leave the pigs alone, even with their open cage. I wouldn't tempt fate, so the door to their room is closed when we're not home.
